CAMART2 WP2 visits the Latvian office for Innovation & Technology in Brussels

On May 22, CAMART2’s WP2 participated in the business trip to the Latvian office for Innovation & Technology (Lat.tech) in Brussels organized by the Technology Business Center of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA).

As part of the visit, there was a meeting with Latvian research attaché Aleksandrs Blūms. He presented the current situation in the European Union in research and Horizon projects. Discussions were held on the possibilities of the current planning period and future directions and possibilities in the following years.

The next meeting was with The Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation. During the meeting, information was provided on opportunities and available support for innovation activities within the Interregional Innovation Investments Instrument framework and the European Innovation Ecosystems programs.

At the end of the trip, there was a visit to the European Parliament and a meeting with the member of the European Parliament, Ivars Ījabs, who is also a member of the European Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE). During the meeting, information was provided on upcoming European Commission support instruments for innovation and research, as well as changes in existing European instruments.

During the business trip, valuable information was obtained for future activities for the development of innovation and research at the ISSP UL, and new contacts were established for successful cooperation in the future.
