The joint FM&NT-NIBS 2022 conference and summer school in Riga

On July 4-6, the joint FM&NT-NIBS 2022 (Functional Materials and Nanotechnologies (FM&NT) and Nanotechnology and Innovation in the Baltic Sea region (NIBS)) conference will be held in Riga. The conference is organized by the University of Latvia (UL) and the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL) with the support of the CAMART2 project.

FM&NT-NIBS 2022 provides an ideal academic platform for researchers to present their latest research findings and describe emerging technologies and directions in Functional Materials, Nanotechnologies, and Innovation issues.

The event aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers, and research scholars to exchange and share their experiences and research on conference topics. It also provides the premier interdisciplinary forum for materials scientists, physicists, chemists, research staff, engineers, as well as experts in a wide range of the most demanding application areas, and students from universities, research institutes and related industrial companies to present their latest research results, ideas, developments, and applications in all areas of FM&NT-NIBS 2022.

The joint event provides a platform for future collaboration promoting interdisciplinary research. The conference topics include Nanomaterials and technologies, Functional materials, Green energy and environment, Bioengineering materials, Biotechnologies and health, and yet more.

The conference is planned as an on-site event to be held at the House of Science of the University of Latvia.

Before the conference (July 2-3), the summer school will take place where experienced researchers from UL and the ISSP UL will give lectures and hands-on experience in the lab on different techniques and applications of materials characterization. The lectures will be open to participants with a basic background in materials science, chemical engineering, micro- and nanotechnology and related specializations.
