Obtaining valuable knowledge about batteries

A research assistant from the ISSP UL’s Laboratory of Materials for Energy Harvesting and Storage, Ināra Ņesterova, went on an experience exchange trip to the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC), Vilnius, Lithuania, from March 25 to April 22.

During her time at the FTMC, Ināra Ņesterova was trained in assembling and understanding the operation of sodium-ion aqueous batteries. New methods were learned in the preparation of materials and the measurements of battery cells. The training was conducted under the supervision of an experienced scientist Dr. Linas Vilčiauskas and his doctoral students. Inara Nesterova will be able to apply the acquired knowledge when working with aqueous sodium-ion batteries and supplement the laboratory’s knowledge on new topics.

Center for Physical Sciences and Technology (FTMC) is the largest scientific research institution carrying out unique fundamental research and technological development works in scientific fields of laser technologies, optoelectronics, nuclear physics, organic chemistry, bio and nanotechnologies, electrochemical material science, functional materials, electronics, etc. in Lithuania.
